Retail: stronger together
At a moment when retail is redefining itself, brands gain strength by sharing a destination: gathering under one roof increases foot traffic, creates new rituals, and encourages visitors to stay longer. Marché Dar Essalam, a 13,000 m² mixed-use destination in the heart of Rabat, brings together a fresh food market, fashion and beauty brands, restaurants, and cultural spaces. Set on the grounds of a former orange grove, it offers the vibrancy of a market hall with the comfort and atmosphere of a contemporary gathering place. Rather than stack experiences side by side, the project draws inspiration from hospitality. Warm materials, generous circulation, inviting lounges, and thoughtful service cues guide the visitor from one universe to another. Shopping becomes less transactional and more experiential , closer to how one moves through a hotel lobby, a café, or a cultural venue. In this spirit, at Saguez & Dash we created the identities and first concept stores for three fashion brands: Sèves for adults, Madd for teens, and Lilmi for children. Each one expresses its own personality, yet all contribute to a shared sense of welcome and comfort within this new civic landmark.
The adult fashion space draws inspiration from the site’s historic orangery and the lush, ever-present plant life.
Madd is the teen space: naturally urban and offbeat.
